What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Association Member Data

The association assures to collect and use only those personal data of its members which are necessary for the support and administration of members as well as for the pursuit of ISOLS goals. The data collected and stored by ISOLS for the processing, administration and termination of the membership defined by the statutes and the purpose of the association, include personal data (name, address, date of birth, E-Mail address, telephone and fax number) and possibly other data necessary for the type of membership.

Browsing

Whenever anyone views the site with his or her browser, technical information, including the IP, time and browser are shared with the providers and the target website. This is necessary to get the content to the user in question. Data is only used for this service and afterwards automatically deleted. Providers and Hosters are also involved and may keep logs with the data for up to 6 month. Please refer to their Privacy and GDPR policy for further information.

Contact forms

All information that a user freely gives in the context of communication will only be used to answer the inquiries. It will not be given to third parties and will be archived.

Cookies

We use Google Recaptcha to distinguish between humans and bots. Recaptcha uses cookies for that. These cookies are anonymously stored.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

In general, data will only be retained as long as it is necessary for the fulfillment of the collection purposes or as long as legal norms declare.

What rights you have over your data

The GDPR gives rights to users concerning information on their personal information and the data stored about them. According to the GDPR, every member has a right to get information about the data stored by him or her. ISOLS processes and stores the personal data provided only as long as this is necessary for the fulfillment of the aforementioned purposes. This data will be deleted once the purpose has been achieved and after statutory retention obligations have expired. Each member has the right to rectification of its data, revocation of the consent or deletion of personal data, as long as this does not contradict the purpose of the association as stated in the statutes of association.
